JDWebDesigns is a trading name operated as a sole trader in Scotland.
Flexible Month-to-Month Service
This agreement covers the £30/month care plan service. The care plan runs on a month-to-month basis and can be cancelled anytime with 30 days written notice. Your website hosting is included in the care plan — if you cancel, your site will be taken offline unless you arrange alternative hosting.
1. SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Monthly Care Plan: £30/month
The Service Provider agrees to provide the following monthly services:
Core Services (All Clients):
- SEO monitoring and monthly tweaks
- Google Search Console checks
- Performance and speed checks
- Fix anything that breaks (forms, layout, errors, compatibility)
- Mobile and browser compatibility checks
- Monthly analytics report (website traffic, visitor data, key trends)
- Priority 48-hour response time
- General advice and ongoing support
- Response to urgent website problems
Content Updates (Up to 5 per month — clients WITHOUT an Admin Panel add-on):
- Text content updates (headings, paragraphs, descriptions)
- Image uploads and replacements
- Price or service information updates
- Contact information changes
- Opening hours updates
- Blog post uploads (if applicable)
- News or announcements updates
- Menu or product listing updates
Clients WITH an Admin Panel add-on: Content changes (images, text, prices, etc.) are managed by the client directly via their Admin Panel. This Care Plan covers SEO monitoring, technical support, and performance — not content updates.
What Counts as “One Update” (where applicable):
- Changing text on a single page = 1 update
- Swapping/adding 1-3 images = 1 update
- Adding a blog post = 1 update
- Updating contact details across entire site = 1 update
- Small formatting tweaks on one page = 1 update
What's NOT Included:
- Major design changes or redesigns
- New page creation
- New feature development
- E-commerce functionality
- Database work
- Social media management
- Content writing (you provide the content)
- Issues caused by third-party plugins or hosting
- Website migrations or major restructuring
- More than 5 content updates per month (where applicable)
- Emergency weekend/holiday support
Additional Updates (where applicable):
If you need more than 5 updates in a month:
- Additional updates: £8 per update
- You will be notified before exceeding the 5-update limit
- Additional charges will be added to next month's invoice
2. PAYMENT TERMS
- Monthly Fee: £30 per month
- Payment Method: Automated monthly direct debit via GoCardless, or by card via Stripe — invoiced through Zoho Books
- Billing Cycle: Monthly from your sign-up date — payments collected on the same date each month
- Invoice: Invoice will be sent on your monthly billing date
- First Payment: £30 (full month charge from sign-up date). Subsequent payments collected on the same date each month thereafter.
- Ongoing Payments: £30 on your monthly billing date thereafter
- Failed Payments: 7-day grace period, then service suspension (£15 reactivation fee)
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
Month-to-Month Service - Cancel Anytime
The care plan runs on a flexible month-to-month basis. You can cancel anytime with 30 days written notice. No long-term contracts, no cancellation fees.
How to Cancel:
- Send 30 days written notice to jason@jdwebdesigns.com
- Service continues through the 30-day notice period
- No cancellation fees at any time
- No refunds for partial months or unused updates
- Final payment covers your last month of service
What Happens When You Cancel:
- You retain full ownership of your website files and content
- Your website hosting will end - your site will go offline unless you arrange alternative hosting
- Domain will be transferred to your own registrar account at no extra cost
- Monthly reports, SEO monitoring, and support end after notice period
- You're responsible for your own hosting and maintenance going forward
- All completed work remains yours
4. HOW TO REQUEST UPDATES
Submit Update Requests:
Include in Your Request:
- Page/section to be updated
- Clear description of changes needed
- New content/text/images attached
- Any specific formatting requirements
Response Times:
- Initial response: Within 1 business day
- Simple updates: 2-3 business days
- Complex updates: Within 5 business days
- Urgent issues: Same-day or next-day response
5. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
You Are Responsible For:
- Providing clear, accurate content for updates
- Ensuring you own or have permission for all content provided
- Responding to queries within 3 business days
- Reviewing completed updates within 48 hours
- Taking over domain and hosting management if you cancel the care plan
6. LIMITATIONS
Service Provider is NOT Responsible For:
- Hosting provider downtime or issues
- Domain expiration or DNS problems
- Third-party plugin failures
- Email delivery issues
- Website performance issues caused by hosting limitations
- Security breaches caused by weak passwords
- Content accuracy or legal compliance
Emergency Support:
- Basic emergency support included for critical issues
- Weekend/holiday support limited to critical issues only
- Extended emergency work may be billed separately
7. LIABILITY
Liability Cap: Total liability shall not exceed 3 months of service fees (£90)
Not Liable For:
- Lost profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss of data (ensure you maintain backups)
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Issues caused by third-party services
Statutory Rights: Nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
8. DATA PROTECTION & CONFIDENTIALITY
- All customer information treated as confidential
- Compliance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
- Customer data used only for providing these services

Your Website Data:
- YOU are responsible for GDPR compliance on your website
- YOU are the data controller for user data collected via your website
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- You retain ownership of your website and all content
- Updates and modifications become part of your website
- Service Provider retains rights to general frameworks and tools
10. GENERAL TERMS
- Governing Law: This agreement is governed by Scots law and subject to Scottish courts' jurisdiction
- Amendments: Changes must be in writing (email acceptable)
- Force Majeure: Not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond control
Dispute Resolution:
- Contact via any of our communication channels for informal resolution:
- Formal disputes resolved under Scots law in Scottish courts
11. ACCEPTANCE
By subscribing to this service and making payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
12. HOSTED WEBSITES
This section applies where your website is hosted on JDWebDesigns' server as part of this Care Plan.
- Hosting included: Where agreed, website hosting is included within the £30/month fee — no separate hosting account is required
- On cancellation: Your complete website files will be packaged and made available to you within 14 days of the cancellation date
- Site removal: Your website will be removed from JDWebDesigns' server 30 days after the cancellation date
- After handover: JDWebDesigns accepts no responsibility for your website after files have been handed over
- Your responsibility: You are responsible for arranging your own hosting before or after handover if you wish your website to remain live
- Failed payments: If monthly payment fails and is not resolved within 7 days, the website may be suspended until payment is received
